Schummer Inc provides a wide variety of Utility Construction Services from Design/Build to Conventional Contracting that include; Installing New Pipelines, the Rehabilitation of Existing Pipelines, Emergency Response Crews, Emergency Bypass Construction, Pumping Station Construction, Grinder Pumps, Pipe Bursting Specialists, Numerous Trenchless Technologies, Specialty Contracting, HDD Contractor, and Sewer Laterals Relining.
Water and Wastewater Utility Construction
At Schummer Inc, we are Infrastructure specialists in constructing Pipelines and Pumping Stations. We perform both new works as well as rehab work. Schummer Inc can do either Traditional or Trenchless methods for construction.
Pumping station construction
Schummer Inc constructs both Water and Wastewater Stations, whether new or require rehabilitating. Typically Schummer Inc completes new stations from start to finish. The existing stations Schummer Inc generally works on are Pumps, Piping, Standby Power, Controls, Instrumentation, By-pass pumping, Site Pumping, and all Restoration, in addition to cleaning and refinishing Wet Wells.
Emergency Response Crews
Schummer Inc is always willing to answer the call. We can send out crews and equipment to repair Leaks and Rehab Pipelines by providing By-pass Pumps and Piping to maintain flow while the Facility is out of service
Pipe Bursting Specialists
Schummer Inc. has the capabilities to perform Pipe Bursting from 4" to 24" inch pipes.
Trenchless Technologies
Schummer Inc. can install new Pipelines or rehab existing ones without Traditional Open-Cut Trench excavation. This will save a tremendous amount of restoration costs.
Speciality Contracting( HDPE, Insertion Valves, Line stop)
Schummer Inc can perform Line Stop, Insertion Valves, or HDPE. Line Stops plug a Pipeline without excavation or breaking the line. Insertion Valves are where we install a valve in a line to control flow without breaking the line. Schummer Inc is also HDPE Certified Fusion Technicians and In-House Fusion Equipment up to 36" inches. Schummer Inc has been performing HDPE since the early '90s.
HDD contractors/ Sewer line relining
Schummer Inc is an HDD Contractor ( Horizontal Directional Drilling). HDD allows Pipeline Construction without traditional Open-Cut Trenching. It cuts costs significantly and is mostly performed on streets, parking lots, and broad shoulders. Schummer Inc is also a Sewer Line relining contractor.
Design-Build
Schummer Inc. has performed numerous design-build utility projects with costs ranging from 50k to 4 million. Schummer Inc does a lot of work in Historic Annapolis as well.
